Our Intensive classes are for children who have previously studied English and are interested in improving their fluency through a more concentrated and in-depth study of English than our regular Afterschool classes.
In Young Intensive, children begin to hone their English skills through a variety of engaging, theme-based activities that encourage vocabulary development and improved communication skills. Children are also introduced to English writing and reading activities that are both age appropriate and fun. The low stress classroom environment encourages the children in their studies as they gain the skills and confidence they need to become fluent in English.
Once children have gained confidence in speaking in English and have learned how to write simple sentences and to read basic books, they are ready for our Intermediate Intensive level class. Children continue developing their language skills with a theme-based curriculum that encourages curious children to use English as they learn and study. Science experiments, cooking, and games are all used to engage the children as they work on furthering their fluency and preparing them for the more rigorous work of Advanced Intensive.
Adanced Intensive is for children who are ready to master the English language. Native level interdisciplinary studies along with interactive conversation are used so that a broad-based knowledge of English is developed. The four skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening are incorporated into each lesson so that a balanced development is achieved. Despite the academic nature of the course, a fun and relaxed classroom environment is created by our experienced teachers so that the children can feel comfortable in conversing about not just their studies, but any or all topics that interest them!
